We currently have over 500 pieces of sidewalk equipment in our fleet which includes snowblowers and shovels, along with numerous specialized pieces of equipment to mechanically remove snow on larger facilities. Some of those items include ATVs, Kawasaki Mules, Ventrac Machines, Steiner and John Deere Tractors. Winter Services will work with you to identify the correct tools for your specific needs that will deliver the results you expect.
Prior to a storm, you should expect to see Winter Services pretreating your walks with liquid de-icer, hard de-icers, or some combination of the two. This will help to neutralize risks before they occur by keeping the snow and ice from bonding to the pavement where your employees, vendors and customers frequent. Our goal is to keep your walkways safe throughout the event by managing your risk.
Winter Services dispatches over 200 de-icing vehicles for every event. These trucks are loaded with the most appropriate de-icing chemicals for the weather conditions to ensure your de-icing results are as effective as possible. We utilize chemically treated rock salt, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, as well as numerous liquid de-icers and environmentally friendly de-icing products.
Winter Services is one of the largest salt purchasers in the State of Wisconsin with salt domes conveniently located statewide to dispatch to the Midwest and beyond. By utilizing this vast network of domes, we can cut down on response times and minimize traffic delays that can otherwise bring services to a standstill.
Winter Services is committed to ensuring our customers’ walkways and parking lots remain safe throughout the winter. That is why our salt is always pre-wetted to guarantee it will melt faster, even at subzero temperatures. To further enhance this, we pre-wet our salt just before it is applied to your property. This ensures that the de-icer is going to be activated just before it hits your property and in turn will provide the optimal melting possible.

Not every de-icer is created equal. More salt doesn’t mean more effective; it may just mean more costs to YOU!! Make sure you partner with a contractor that knows what chemicals to use that will give you the optimal results on your property.
